I am in Maryland. My flight was suppose to leave yesterday at 4 PM, but they called Friday and said they changed my flight until Monday because of impending snow. I was a slight bit frustrated. So, Rick called and got a flight out at 5 AM Saturday. Instead of having Friday night and half of Saturday to get ready I had a few hours. I got 2 hours of sleep Friday/Saturday morning. But, I made it to MD by 11 AM Saturday. Several hours earlier than scheduled instead of three days later.
K@ri and N0ah did really well on the flights. We had a small layover in Atlanta. Their airport is huge! We had to get on a train to go from one concourse to the next. I was a bit anxious about having a connecting flight, but it was actually better. We were on flight #1 for about an hour and a half, got off, had breakfast, went to the bathroom in a space larger than a tuna can and then boarded flight #2. It only lasted about an hour also, so it was really ideal. An hour or so is about all K and N could handle. And we really were blessed. The 5 AM was mostly empty so we were able to switch to a three seat row and spread out a bit. Then on the way to BWI a nice gentleman and his son were sitting in a three seat row across from us and switched with us. It was so nice to be able to have more room.
My dad picked us up from the airport and we stayed at my parents' house until my mom came home from work. T@ra and her crew stopped by and hung out for a while. I think we are going to go out Wednesday with Mom-Mom. That will be nice.
We made it to J@nie's by 3:30 PM and the snow had started to lay on the grass and such, but not so much on the street. I was really hoping to get snowed in to be able to catch up on some sleep. When Sophi@ and N0ah woke me up at 6 AM there was 8 inches of snow on everything! J@nie let me sleep in until 9:30 AM. I think I am going to take a nap with K in a bit though. I am still exhausted.
K@ri has been out in the snow with V and loving it. They made several snowmen. Her favorite part of yesterday was catching the snowflakes on her tongue. N0ah got bundled up and lasted about 5 minutes outside. He looked liked R@ndy from A Chr1stmas St0ry. I actually have a picture of him lying on the floor because he fell over and could not get back up on his own.
I miss R1ck and the other kiddos, but am glad to be here with J@nie and Co. My parents may come up later, but they actually got a few more inches than us. If they don't come up today, my mom is coming tomorrow. We are going to stay until Tuesday afternoon. J@nie has her root canal then and we want to make sure she can take care of the kiddos before we head back to my mom's. She may just request more pain meds so we stay longer.
Anyway, I should probably get off of here and get the kiddos down for their naps. I also should shower soon. I may or may not get dressed today. PJs seem like perfect snowy day attire.
Oh and.....J@nie made me crab cakes!
