A 'M' Meme (from Aishling)

Comment if you want a letter. Think of ten words that start with that letter, that mean something to you and explain why.

Okay here are my 'M' things.....

1. Marlen - my name spelled unconventionally. It is a combo of my grandmothers' names Mary and Lena. My mom just took the 'y' off Mary and the 'a' off Lena and voila! It's Marlene spelled Marlen, but pronounced Marlene! Confused, yet?

2. Macaroni and cheese - my favorite snowy day lunch. Must be eaten in a coffee mug, though and served with hot chocolate.

3. Marriage - Rick and I will be married 6 years this July! It is a wonderful institution that I am a big fan of - I love ALL the benefits =)

4. Magpies - Remember the cartoon magpies Heckel and Jeckel? My cousin and I bore those nicknames growing up. I guess we were talkative.

5. Madison - was going to be Kari's middle name and we were going to call her Madison until someone said they'd love calling her Maddie and I just HATE that nickname, so we changed it all - Karin Rosemarie and we call her Kari!

6. Movies - I am a romantic comedies girl! I love the traditional "chick flick". Princess Bride is my all time favorite movie!

7. M&Ms - The peanut variety are one of my weaknesses. Great companion to buttered popcorn.

8. Magazines - I used to have subscriptions to several, now I just received Parenting magazine, a gift from my parents. There might be a subtle hint in there somewhere.....

9. Music - I love music that speaks to my heart and gets my feet moving. On Sunday morning as we get ready for church I have all of the radios in the house playing Praise and Worship music to get us in the mood to worship.

10. Mice - When we were younger we had rabbits and one time a bunch of mice got into the can of rabbit feed. My dad chased them out and proceeded to whack them with a shovel. My sisters and I ran around screaming, which mad him mad since it was harder to stun them with us yelling. As I teacher I refused to have a mouse as a class pet. We once had one in the drop ceiling of our attic where Josh and I stayed and it would across the light panel at night. Freaked me out.
