A week since I last updated. Is anyone shocked? Probably not. I have thought about updating many times this week, but just read up on everyone else's lives instead.
Things are just buzzing along here. Slowly buzzing, but buzzing nonetheless. We had the sod delivered yesterday after being told it would be here last Tuesday. J0sh and his friends laid most of it. There is one patch left that they will probably finish tomorrow. It looks really nice and should help with showing and selling the house. We have someone coming tomorrow afternoon to look at it. I hope he wants to buy it.
R1ck has three web design contracts pending. Actually, he has two he is working on and three he should hear about this week. Two tomorrow, actually. Since he is not working anywhere else right now, it would be great for him to get them all. But, we'll see. Keep praying, please.
We cleaned out and organized the garage on Friday. We got rid of a lot of things and have a nice pile of things to sell this week at our yard sale. We still have to get boxes to start packing some of the things away soon. I can't believe that we will be days away from leaving TX in a little over a month.
As far as PChef goes I just finished my last live show for the month and am waiting for a catalog show to wrap up this week. I should be able to reach my sales goal and hopefully our cluster met its goal so we get one of the new fall products for free. We'll see though. I wanted to do two more live shows this month and just wasn't able to schedule any. Next month I hope to do at least two live shows and one catalog show, but that may be pushing it.
N0ah will be 2 on July 6 and I need to get his invites out soon. We are having a small party on the 8th. I think we will celebrate with the ILs on the 4th when we are all together. It's my BIL's birthday on the 1st, so we should just do cake and stuff then for both of them. We'll see though. I'll even volunteer to make the cake.
I am just getting over a severe sore throat and allergy thing. My head and sinuses have been a mess. My throat is finally feeling better today. I didn't go to church - it was so hard to talk and swallow.
Oh, I almost forgot! Last night was our monthly Bunk0 night and I hosted it even though I wasn't scheduled to host until September. Since I am leaving and this was my last time to be able to come (next month is the same day as our anniversary)and the girl scheduled to do it wasn't able to get a sitter and her husband was out of town, we switched. I was excited about choosing the theme and such.
I chose S@ndles and Sunglass3s as my theme and got a table cloth, napkins and plates to match. I bought a $25 gift certificate for a spa pedicure as the grand prize and two bags of fingernail polish, remover, a file and those spongy things that you separate your toes with when you paint them as consulation prizes. I even made my awesome apple dip.
Three people showed up last night.
Three! And that didn't include the girl in charge of the group. She just decided not to come and never bothered to call anyone about it.
We played two rounds anyway, since one of the girls that came brought a friend (nice welcome to our church, huh? Come to our group and then no one shows up!). Of course, I had the most Bunk0s and the most wins and couldn't even win my own prize! Ugh!
And I felt so icky yesterday I would have just stayed home if I wasn't hosting it.
But, I would have called someone first!
I do not even want to talk about VBS right now. I think we are going to have to cancel it for this year. Our preschool coordinator just quit because of work conflicts. I would so not mind cancelling, but....R1ck needs to talk to the guy who will be taking over children's ministries when we leave. People have been so noncommittal (is that even a word?) lately that we just do not have the support and help we need. Especially with us moving and needing someone, anyone to step up and take over. Ugh again!
I am praying we find a church of involvers. I am sick of being one of the only committed workers.
It is so not fun.
I think I am going to spend some time with R1ck. Both little kiddos are sleeping and J0sh is at a friend's for the night. It would be nice to spend some time together before Aunt Flo gets here this week.
