I know I have been a slacker as far as updating goes here at DLand. I can't figure out if I am tired of writing or tired of DLand. I still diligently come here every day to check up on all of you, but the desire to write here as been waning. I have been writing elsewhere and even on paper, documenting J's goings on right now, hoping that it will help us gain some perspective into what is going on in that 15 year old young man's head. But, if not, it is cleansing for me right now. So that is good.
I am also trying to keep the momentum up as far as my business goes. PChef has so much to offer if I would just tap into it and be consistent. So I am trying. I have two cooking shows this month and a catalog show. Next month already promises two cooking shows and two catalog shows. So far so good.
D is being induced on March 1. I am planning to be there. I am preparing more emotionally than anything else. I just want to be there for her in whatever capacity I can, but I know I will take a back seat to the X. Which is okay, but still something I need to deal with in my own way.
We joined a church last Sunday. The pastor is coming to chat with us about things Thursday. I am glad we have a church home and look forward to getting involved. I am going to a ladies' breakfast on Saturday. And I am participating in the Secret Sisters thingy. The boys already have started to make friends in the youth group and Kari and Noah are very comfortable with the classes they attend on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. We are going to try to make Sunday school this week.
The weather today is very cold and sunny. I find myself missing TX a bit until I read that they are still dealing with a winter storm that includes ice and then I am a bit more thankful that we are where we are.
R is stretching his creative wings a bit with a new endeavor. I am excited and nervous, but I know he is able to do this and be successful.
So much for not updating, huh?
